Security and Safety Officer

JOB SUMARRY:

In accordance with the policies, procedure and standards of Crimson Resort & Spa, Mactan, and under the direct supervision of the Chief Security, this position is responsible for maintaining law and order and ensures a safe and crime-free environment within the Resort and its premises; safeguards customers, employees, and assets of the Resort against fire and other hazard by implementing all applicable security methods and procedures and ensuring compliance of all concerned.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Prior to posting for duty, reports to the Security Manager / Service Leader Security for instructions.
• Attends security briefings facilitated by Security Manager / Service Leader Security.
• At the start and on ending the shift, follows standard procedures for shift handover / takeover, including but not limited to endorsements, instructions, keys, radios and other equipment.
• At the start of the shift, checks that communication equipment and tools (e.g., radio, phones, beepers, flashlights/torch lights, etc.) are in working order.
• When assigned as roving security staff, must bring a handheld radio and torchlight at all times.
• Notes down any observed deficiencies in equipment, furniture or property of the hotel during roving assignments, and immediately reports these to Service Associate - Security assigned as duty watch commander for action.
• Ensure that no unauthorized photographers are allowed into the guest areas.
• Maintains a clean and tidy work area at all times.
• Ensures that all contractors coming into the Resort are wearing presentable working attire and have the required pass tag.
• Also checks that all contractors working within the premises have a duly approved Work Authorization with a written notice that work is in progress.
• Immediately reports any unusual occurrences, hazards or unsafe conditions to the Security Manager or the Service Leader - Security or the Service Associate - Security assigned as duty watch commander.
• Handles tour requests for schools in coordination with Human Resources Division, ensuring that these are properly authorized, and route adheres to authorized areas.
• Responds to radio challenge during the evening shift.
• During emergencies (exercises or otherwise), strictly adheres to the established and authorized procedures and standards in accordance with the specified guidelines in the Emergency handbook.
• Keeps immediate superior promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
• Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Hotel policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
• Prepares reports as necessary to develop a more informative database for improved Management decision-making and critical evaluation of work activities.
• Maintains a favorable working relationship with all other Hotel employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate.
• At all times, projects a favorable image of Crimson Resort & Spa to the public
• Practices and role-models the Guiding Principles and Core Values of Crimson Hospitality and ensures that the employees practice the same.
