As the Sea Logistics Operational Care Manager, you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving operational excellence across our export sea logistics function. You will oversee a team of Export Operational Care Specialists, ensuring high performance, compliance, and customer satisfaction through strategic supervision and cross-functional collaboration. This role is ideal for a seasoned logistics professional with proven experience in team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and process optimisation.

How you create impact

• To provide leadership and direction to Export Operational Care team
• To ensure operational excellence through high-quality shipment management
• To develop pricing strategies through booking steering and cost efficiency management
• To execute cooperation and collaboration with internal leaders and stakeholders for optimized successful customer experience
• To contribute as process owner to continuous improvements in processes and ensure lean and cost-efficient flows
• To optimize procedures to ensure development of Sea Logistics operational KPIs
• To ensure the highest levels of productivity within the organization
• Sea Logistics carrier and supplier management. Manage business reviews and drive business partners performance
• To ensure a high level of quality export services (Booking, VAS, Documentation etc.)
• To partner with the Customer Care and Operations to gain knowledge and receive first-hand feedback
  
  

What we would like you to bring

• Strong background in export operations is preferred, but candidates with import experience will also be considered.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with shipping lines and couriers, including understanding key contacts and negotiation processes.
• Managerial experience in handling export documentation, with added value in areas such as tax clearance and shipment tracking.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, especially in overseeing key operational tasks.
• Hands-on experience with courier bookings, tax matters, and logistics documentation.
• Advantageous if the candidate currently manages a team of 5–10 people; the current team consists of 5 members plus a manager.
• Skilled in conflict management and adaptable to changing operational needs.
• Experience in customer service is a strong asset.
