SAP ABAP Developer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Development

• Writing, testing, and maintaining ABAP code for custom solutions within the SAP environment
• Developing SAP modules (like FICO, SD, MM) enhancements, forms, and workflows
• Creating and modifying SAP reports (Classical, Interactive, ALV) and interfaces (IDOCs, RFCs, BAPIs)
  
  

Technical Design

• Collaborating with functional teams to gather and understand business requirements
• Designing technical solutions based on the requirements and ensuring that they are scalable, efficient, and maintainable
  
  

Testing And Debugging

• Conducting unit testing, integration testing, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Debugging ABAP programs to identify and fix issues
  
  

Documentation

• Creating and maintaining technical documentation for the developed solutions
• Providing end-user documentation and training as needed
  
  

Support And Maintenance

• Providing technical support for SAP applications post-implementation
• Participating in the ongoing maintenance and enhancements of SAP systems
  
  

Performance Optimization

• Optimizing existing ABAP programs for better performance
• Analyzing performance issues and implementing efficient code solutions
  
  

Required Skills

• ABAP Programming: Strong expertise in core ABAP (Reports, ALV, Dialog Programming, User Exits, BADI, BAPI, RFC, SAP Scripts, SmartForms)
• SAP Modules Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP modules like SD, MM, FICO, HR, etc
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions
• Communication: Strong communication skills for interacting with business stakeholders and functional teams
• Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other developers and consultants
