Job Overview:
As a Salesforce Functional Consultant, you will own the delivery of end-to-end Salesforce solutions, including planning, design, delivery, training, and handover. This client-facing role involves leading solution teams to achieve outcomes, supported by Solution Architects, Consultants, Designers, and Developers. You will also work closely with the Project Manager to manage client communication, collaboration and risk management, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, to scope and within budget. As part of the Nonprofit Practice team the clients you will work with include Charities, Community Service Organisations and Nonprofit Business/ Professional Organisations. The Nonprofit Practice primarily delivers solutions on the Salesforce platform and specialises in Nonprofit Cloud, with a focus on Care Services and Fundraising.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Deliver end-to-end solutions, encompassing planning, design, development, testing, training, and handover.
- Lead solution teams through end-to-end delivery, ensuring outcomes align with client needs and organisational goals.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager on delivery plans, client communication, project risk management, and budget adherence.
- Conduct business analysis, develop and estimate technical designs and document processes and solutions.
- Facilitate client workshops, showcases, and training sessions.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, leveraging the team's expertise to provide optimal solutions.
- Provide Operational Support as required to the Managed Service Team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering Salesforce-based solutions or leading comparable software solutions such as:
- Nonprofit CRM systems (e.g. Penelope, Microsoft Dynamics, NPSP, Civica, Carelink)
- Fundraising Software (e.g., Funraisin, FundraiseUp, Stripe, Raisely)
- Marketing Software (e.g. Marketing Cloud, Ortto)
- Integrations (e.g. Mulesoft, Workato, Zapier, Make.com, Omatic)
- Proven track record of estimating, planning, designing, and delivering end-to-end solutions.
- Experience in at least two full life cycle implementations as the solution lead.
- Experience and understanding of software development methodologies, e.g. Agile, Waterfall.
- Knowledge of Data Migration Practices.
- One or more current Salesforce.com certifications (Administrator, Developer, Nonprofit Cloud)
Skills:
- Experience with Salesforce solutions, preferably with experience or knowledge of Non-Profit Cloud, Data Cloud & Marketing Cloud ERD’s.
- Expertise in gathering business requirements and creating documentation such as process maps, architecture diagrams, and user stories.
- Strong consultative skills, enabling clients to view you as a trusted advisor.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively facilitate workshops, showcases, and training.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for improving processes and systems.
- Demonstrable ability to collaborate with diverse teams and deliver tailored client solutions.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance to other team members in the Project Team.
- Passion for or experience working within the for-purpose sector.
- Contribute the growth of the practice through thought-leadership, development of solution accelerators, reusable assets and participation in other operational areas. (recruiting, onboarding, training, enablement, etc.)
