Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Appointment Setter plays a key role at the top of our sales and marketing funnel. This is a client-facing, outbound-focused role where you’ll engage with cold and warm leads across email, LinkedIn, and other platforms to qualify them, build interest, and book discovery calls with our team.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, professional attitude. You’ll be responsible for identifying qualified prospects, engaging them through clear and tailored outreach, assessing fit, and setting appointments with sales reps or client teams.

Key Responsibilities
Outbound Lead Engagement
- Reach out to prospects via email, LinkedIn, and other platforms using approved scripts and outreach templates
- Personalize messages based on lead profile and engagement history
- Follow up systematically with leads who express interest or need more time
- Ask discovery questions to assess prospect fit based on pre-set criteria (e.g., industry, need, budget, timeline)
- Identify decision-makers and gather relevant information to pass along to the sales team
- Accurately tag, update, and manage CRM or tracking tools
- Book qualified meetings directly into calendars using tools like Calendly or Google Calendar
- Send confirmation messages, follow-up reminders, and reschedule as needed
- Ensure a smooth handoff to the sales rep with clear lead notes
- Track daily outreach, follow-ups, and results
- Provide regular updates to the sales team on lead status and appointment progress
- Suggest improvements to outreach strategy based on engagement patterns
- 1–2 years of experience in sales development, appointment setting, or lead qualification
- Strong written and spoken English
- Comfortable with outbound outreach and cold prospecting
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and reliable
- Able to work with minimal supervision and hit weekly outreach or appointment targets
- Experience with CRMs (e.g., HubSpot, Pipedrive, GoHighLevel)
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or cold outreach tools
- Knowledge of sales funnels, B2B sales, or lead generation campaigns
- Past work with founders, sales teams, or agency clients
- Daily outreach volume maintained and logged (email, DMs, or calls)
- Appointment conversion rate from cold/warm leads
- Accurate lead notes and qualification data
- Positive feedback from sales team and clients on handoff quality
