We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Rotating Equipment Engineer. As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our power plant clients locally and worldwide.
You’ll be charged to perform Basic and Detailed engineering design on current projects to fulfill Departmental needs and support engineering operation within the Company. You will utilize discipline knowledge and design experience in the development of mechanical design, primarily for pumps, fans, compressors, equipment drivers, and ancillary support systems. You may also be assigned as Package Engineer with technical responsibility for the design of water treatment packages, air dryers, nitrogen generation packages, and material handling equipment. Here's what you'll need
- Execute the project activities following Project requirements within the assigned budget, time schedule and quality standards
- Ensure compliance with all Project specifications and interfaces and supervise in/out information flow.
- Prepare and review technical specifications, datasheets, material requisitions for assigned equipment.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and prepare technical bid evaluation reports.
- Coordinate with vendors during design, fabrication, testing, and delivery phases.
- Perform vendor drawing and document reviews, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Provide input and recommendations for equipment installation, commissioning, and start-up activities.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines and project teams disciplines (process, civil, piping, instrumentation & controls, electrical, metallurgy, projects management, procurement, inspection, logistics, commissioning and construction) to ensure the successful integration of rotating equipment into overall project designs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- At least 6 years of experience in engineering and design of rotating equipment in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sectors. Primary areas of focus are on fuel gas and fuel oil supply system, water/wastewater system, and air/nitrogen utility systems.
- Experience in EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects
- Strong technical knowledge of international codes and standards (API, ISO, ASME, NFPA, etc…)
- Proven ability to select rotating equipment types suitable for specific service conditions
- Experience in preparing technical specifications and evaluating vendor proposals
- Acted as Requisition Engineer for rotating equipment engineering and procurement
- Familiarity with mechanical design principles, constructability, and maintainability
- Previous experience with equipment vendors or on-site (construction and commissioning) is a plus.
