Key Responsibilities
- Craft and manage staff rosters, ensuring adherence to policies, cost-effectiveness, and fairness.
- Oversee payroll operations, including accurate data entry, timesheet approval, and adjustments.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Provide administrative support across various functions, including report generation, correspondence, and compliance checks.
- Handle expense reports, employee reimbursements, and petty cash management.
- Follow up on outstanding invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Manage data entry, filing, and document organization.
- Support HR functions and contribute to projects aimed at improving operations.
- Foster a supportive and cooperative team atmosphere.
Must-Have Qualifications
- A background in tertiary education or substantial experience in administration or caregiving environments.
- Fluent and clear English, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a flair for building strong professional relationships.
- Initiative, independence, and a quick learning curve.
- Proficiency in MS Office, XERO, and sophisticated software systems (e.g., Caremaster or similar).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.
- Ability to handle dense workloads in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with rostering, payroll, or financial administration is a plus.
Bonus Points for
- Speak fluent Excel (or are willing to learn).
- Have a favourite productivity hack (we’re always looking for new ones).
