The Retirement Consultant delivers personalized consultations detailing solutions best suited to the retirement planning needs of Empower customers. The Consultant utilizes detailed information on IRA and investment products and has a solid understanding of the qualified plan environment. The successful Consultant enjoys assisting customers achieve their retirement goals, is a self-starter with excellent organizational skills and has a competitive personality. Must be upbeat, ambitious, and enjoy a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include both inbound and outbound calls and require outstanding follow-through with those they are assisting. What You Will Do

  • Work with active and terminated participants of employer-sponsored retirement plans to provide service, support recommendations on variety of needs including distribution and rollover options, consolidation, investment conversations, savings, and contributions strategies
  • Cultivate relationships with customers by delivering personalized service and respond to a variety of plan and policy-related questions by exhibiting listening, patience, empathy, authenticity, proactivity, and perseverance with external and internal customers
  • Relay accurate information and provide clear and concise communication of policies and procedures
  • Manage inbound conversations, make outbound calls, handle service requests, research and resolve issues, develop and implement strategies to assist the customer with achieving their retirement goals
  • Deliver optimal solutions to customers in every interaction
  • Identify referral opportunities to partners who provide next step or in-depth complex solutions such as financial wellness, taxable investment strategies, or financial planning
  • Meet monthly and annual asset growth and retention/service goals

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional work experience
  • Demonstrated success in performance/goal-oriented roles, ideally in asset growth and retention
  • Good working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and various file manipulation skills on a PC
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple priorities and ability to handle stressful situations and people daily
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work overnight hours
  • FINRA 7 & 63 registrations required within established timelines
  • FINRA fingerprinting required upon hire
