Reliability Technician

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and routine inspections on mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment to ensure reliable operation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures, root cause analysis, and propose solutions to mitigate future issues.
• Collaborate with reliability engineers to develop and implement reliability improvement programs, including equipment upgrades and process optimization.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure that all equipment is operating at peak performance and that any potential issues are addressed promptly.
• Implement preventive maintenance measures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure equipment reliability.
• Recommend improvements to enhance equipment performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues.
• Order and maintain inventory of spare parts and tools.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Develop and update maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support to other team members.
• Ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Report on maintenance activities and equipment status.
• Support emergency repair activities as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  
  

Skills

• Proven experience as a Reliability Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proactive approach to maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality standards.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
