RCI: Technical Buyer

Job Objective / Purpose

The objective of a Technical Buyer is to procure specialized equipment, machinery, and services required for a project, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. This involves understanding technical specifications, negotiating with suppliers, managing procurement processes, and maintaining strong supplier relationships to support the company’s operational and strategic goals.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Lead on procurement for assigned projects
• Handle bidding and project implementation of different projects including construction, medical machines and equipment, preventive maintenance and calibration services, IT solutions, etc
• Prepare and coordinate procurement aspects of the project preparation documents, review and comment on the bidding document and evaluation reports, and consolidate comments, requests for clarifications and/or revisions for approval by the relevant stakeholders
• Project negotiation and awarding
• Discover new Vendors for hard-to-find supplies and services
• Maintain a database of accredited Vendors
• Tactical Procurement
• Negotiation and Cost savings strategies
• NetSuite PR to PO processing
• Expediting and de-expediting deliveries
• Coordinate with different stakeholders for smooth operations
  
  

Background And Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Health-related courses
• At least four(4) years of relevant work experience in Supply Management particularly in the field of Procurement
• Strong negotiation capability
• Health Industry exposure
• Experience in ERP Solutions(e.g. Net Suite, ARIBA, etc) is an advantage
