Quantity Surveyor (MEPFS) - Licensed Mech/Electrical Engineer

Primary Functions:
Ensure that projects are developed and completed within budget and meet the design and quality specifications through effective cost analysis and negotiation
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
· Prepare and analyze project costings for tenders such as materials, quantities, labor, equipment and time
· Prepare tender and contract documents, including Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
· Negotiate contracts and work schedules
· Design contract packages and allocate work to contractors and subcontractors
· Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
· Procure or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project
· Select and/or source construction materials
· Coordinate with site engineers regarding construction progress accomplishments, contractors’ performances, construction schedule, delivery of owner supplied materials
· Undertake cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
· Advise on procurement strategy
· Evaluate variation orders, contractual claims and disputes
· Evaluate completed work based on evaluation of site engineers, oversee bills and arrange payments
· Price/forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project
· Preparation of reports
Job Specifications:
· Minimum Educational Attainment: Licensed Mechanical/Electrical Engineer
· Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in construction
· Preferably knowledge on both vertical and horizontal construction
· Excellent problem-solving skills
· Good financial and numeracy management skills
· Excellent communication and negotiating skills
· Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily
· Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications; preferably with knowledge and
experience using SAP
