Quantity Surveyor / Cost Estimator

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator in the engineering/construction sector.

Strong knowledge of cost estimating, budgeting, and financial management for engineering projects.

Proficiency in industry-standard estimation software and tools

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:
-Formulates, monitors, and implements project strategies and planning.

-Estimates the needed materials, manpower, tools and equipment for the project site and tracks all movement of projects.

-Prepare detailed cost estimates for engineering and construction projects.

-Analyze project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine material and labor requirements.

-Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and pricing.

-Manage and maintain project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout project lifecycle.

-Conduct risk and value management and perform cost-benefit analysis.

-Prepare and submit tender documents, including Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

-Monitor project costs, variations, and financial progress reports.

-Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
