QA NPD Engineer

About The Job
Standards & Compliance
- Enforce work instructions, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with product specifications and industry standards (QMS, EMS, ISO 9000, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, Sony Green, etc.).
- Lead initiatives in Lean, 6S, TQM, and continuous improvement programs.
- Implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure adherence to the Environmental Management System (EMS).
- Set performance targets and evaluate team and line outputs.
- Provide coaching, training, and development to build a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Recognize achievements and apply corrective actions where necessary.
- Participate in EMS Core Team, Internal Audits, and Emergency Response initiatives.
- Lead evacuation or response teams during emergencies (fire, chemical spills, etc.).
- Identify and analyze issues; implement preventive and corrective actions using Six Sigma and other quality tools.
- Investigate workplace accidents and apply effective solutions.
- Ensure NPD complies with 5 Phase development processes.
- Conduct material, process, and product qualifications for automotive-grade standards.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for any issues.
- Apply DFMEA, PFMEA, and lessons learned to NPD.
- Ensure a smooth handover from NPD to mass production, including action item closure and support for Safe Launch.
- Lead and support quality and process improvement projects across operations.
- Perform additional tasks related to quality and organizational goals as needed.
- 2+ years of work experience in an electronics / automotive electronics manufacturing company
- Human relations and leadership skills;
- Well-versed in statistical tools
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Six Sigma Green Belt certified is an advantage
- Extensive experience in using QC Tools and 8D report
- SOLID experience in the following areas:
- Control Plan, SPC, and FMEA
- New Product Introduction / New Product Development
- Reliability Test
- Design of Experiments
