Project Manager (Construction)

About The Role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the supervision, monitoring, and on-time completion of renovation and/or construction of Head Office units and Branches in accordance to the approved design/ lay-out and standards of the Bank.

How you’ll contribute

• Monitors and coordinates approval of plans from the management and the lessor detailing, editing, improving the lay-out and details using AutoCAD Drawings to be able to have an accurate design lay-out prior to construction implementation
• Conducts pre-bidding conference and meetings with General Contractors, Suppliers and other trades involved in construction using the Bank's standard procedure and injecting latest construction methods to achieve completeness of bids and construction documents necessary for the implementation of the project
• Ensures completeness of construction by filing/submitting the documents to the right recipient securing internal files and submitting files to external parties involved in construction to be used for maintenance purposes and annual inspection documents for Property Management Department
• Conducts weekly meeting/ inspection of site to see to it that the works are implemented accurately and on time according to plans and specifications of the Branch to ensure strength and quality of all materials, equipment and furniture
• Monitors/reviews preparation of lay-out/drawings/ construction plans from the bank's accredited consultants to achieve completeness of details and correctness of design lay-out
• Reviews the lease agreement (construction related concerns) to ensure implementation
• Reviews and evaluates construction progress based on the progress accomplishment to be able to ensure that payment is aligned with progress of works
• Reviews tabulation of bids to check that all scope of works and specifications are according to standard and aligned with the design intent using quantified evaluation technique from the Quantity Surveyor and bid plans submitted by the designer to be able to quantify and ensure quality of specifications
• Prepares term sheet for approval of management using standard construction termsheet to be used as budget for implementation
• Conducts and monitors punchlists and completion of implementation including turn-over of the project by actual inspection and quality checking of materials installed and workmanship applied by the contractors and suppliers to ensure that construction is delivered according to the standard quality set by the Bank
• Represents the Bank for site turnover to ensure completeness and to note all the deficiency based on standard site provisions
• Prepares close out documents and ensures all requirements are submitted by the contractor.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or college degree holder in Architecture
• At least 3-5 years of experience as an Architect engaged in Project Management, Construction Management, Design, and Engineering
• Knowledgeable in quantity surveying and quality assurance
• Has the ability to manage and complete a whole construction program
