The Project Coordinator at ViewQwest will play a key role in assisting the Project Manager(s) in the planning, execution, and completion of various projects related to network infrastructure, IT services, and telecommunications. You will ensure that all project phases run smoothly, and stakeholders are updated regularly. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in planning and executing projects related to network expansion, customer installations, network transformation
- Coordinate with internal teams (project engineers, procurement, etc.) and external vendors to ensure timely project delivery.
- Maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, meeting minutes, and logs.
- Track project progress and update stakeholders on status, risks, and issues.
- Schedule and organize project meetings, prepare agendas, and document action items.
- Help with resolving project issues and escalating problems to the Project Manager as needed.
- Ensure compliance with project deadlines and quality standards.
- Handle administrative tasks, including managing project tools and systems.
Key Requirements
Education: Diploma or Degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, preferably in telecommunications, IT, or related industries.
- Experience with project management software/tools
- Experience in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Skills:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate potential issues.
- Knowledge of telecommunications or IT infrastructure is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is an advantage.
- Knowledge of fiber optics, network configurations, or IT systems.
