We are currently looking for a Junior Project Accountant. As Junior Project Accountant, you will perform key support function that directly influence projects billing, remittance and administration tasks.

Responsibilities Not Limited To

• Support client billing process. This includes handwritten invoice details to be captured in the pre-printed BIR invoices, printing the invoice backups and submission of the invoice package to client
• Support in client remittance process. This includes preparation of BIR acknowledgement receipts upon client request and preparation of bank deposit slip
• Monitor, coordinate and ensure the timely collection of withholding tax certificate from clients and update tracker as warranted
• Coordinate with client and liaise with the collection of cheque payments from client
• To help in compiling invoice backups as and when required by project team
• Maintain documentation of client invoices and collection registers
• Maintain proper accounting records, project files and relevant documentation, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Monitor debtors and contact project team or clients for payment and assist in monitoring the past due accounts
• Assist with statutory and tax audits which requires Project Accounting Support
• Apply best practices in line with company requirements and audit requirements
• Act as backup resource when Project Accountant in Philippines goes on leave
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by Project Accountant in Philippines or Regional Project Accounting Lead

Here's what you'll need

• Graduate of accounting or any business related with background in accounting
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in handling Accounting Support responsibilities for Projects
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Strong communication skills, with ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management
• Understand accounting terms and basic BIR tax forms
• Knowledge of financial system applications, Oracle is a plus
• Good computer knowledge, especially MS Office Excel
• Self-initiative, willing to learn and adaptive
• Ability to collaborate in fast phased business environment
• Good time management and organisation skills; ability to multitask, work to meet tight deadlines
