Job Summary

The Production Manager collaborates closely with Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Warehouse, Maintenance, and R&D to ensure operational excellence and compliance with all applicable regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and execute short-, medium-, and long-term production plans aligned with customer demand, sales forecasts, and capacity constraints.
- Allocate manpower, equipment, and material resources to maximize throughput and minimize idle time.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain to secure timely availability of raw materials and components to prevent stockouts or delays.
- Oversee day-to-day production activities to meet established KPIs for quality, output, and efficiency.
- Monitor downtime, bottlenecks, and deviations, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) as needed.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, FDA, HACCP, or other applicable standards, as well as environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
- Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure all finished goods meet or exceed specifications.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other structured problem-solving tools to reduce waste, improve yield, and enhance process stability.
- Lead structured root cause analysis and corrective action processes for non-conformances.
- Champion a zero-defect mindset and foster a culture of quality at the source.
- Lead, coach, and develop production supervisors and frontline operators to achieve high performance and engagement.
- Set clear objectives, conduct formal performance reviews, and support individual development plans.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and teamwork.
- Manage production budgets, track variances, and implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or safety.
- Drive initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, overtime, and energy consumption.
- Utilize operational data and KPIs to make evidence-based decisions.
- Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and preventive maintenance adherence.
- Support capital equipment projects, layout changes, and capacity expansion initiatives.
- Prepare and present production performance reports to senior management, highlighting progress against KPIs, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Maintain clear and timely communication across production, quality, logistics, procurement, and other key stakeholders.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing or production management within a high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated success implementing lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement programs.
- Proven track record of meeting production KPIs in compliance-driven industries.
Technical Skills:
- Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and change management skills.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems, production dashboards, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Data-driven decision-making and problem-solving capability.
- Results-oriented, quality-focused, and adaptable under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance big-picture thinking and detail orientation.
- Location: Primarily based in the production facility, with occasional meetings in corporate offices or supplier sites.
- Setting: Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and occasional temperature variations depending on production type.
- Team Structure: Direct management of production supervisors and operators; regular interaction with Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.
- Schedule: Standard business hours with flexibility required during peak production periods, maintenance shutdowns, or urgent operational needs.
- Physical Requirements: Regular movement on the production floor, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- Culture: Safety-focused, results-oriented, and collaborative environment that values continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Tools & Technology: Daily use of ERP/MRP systems, production monitoring dashboards, quality management tools, and standard office software.
