Responsibilities
This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
- Manages receipt, control and processing of all GCSS-A work orders.
- Collects and analyzes data necessary to manage Maintenance Department resources.
- Directs and supervises the use of GCSS-A and Maintenance workforce to accomplish Production Control Section missions; to include generating GCSS-A reports, NMC Reports, schedule and unscheduled maintenance reports, open document register report, reconciliation report, equipment PMCS, maintenance request forms, and other
- required reports or documents managed in GCSS-A.
- Advises the Maintenance Manager on the status of workload and scheduling effectiveness, proposes corrective action for workload imbalances and backlogs.
- Prepares and presents briefings on maintenance related activities.
- Performs employee counseling, initially, periodically and as required.
- Produces reports to include but not limited to Critical Parts Listings, 02 Due-In Listings, and ad-hoc queries.
- Participates by conducting maintenance report briefings to the USG to include all aspects of parts requisitioning and expediting.
- Performs Job Duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have certification in (GCSS-A Plant Maintenance/Unit Supply).
- DD214 preferred to verify Military service and training.
- Must be able to obtain a CAC Card
- Must be able to obtain a Host Country Driver's License
- Experience:
- Four (4) to six (6) years of maintenance experience
- Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years in an Supervisor level leadership capacity of a similar project/department/branch.
- Solid background in automated data process system input and Field/Sustainment level maintenance.
- Skills:
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of GCSS-Army operations and their interaction with subsystems and users.
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects successfully.
- Strong computer skills including word processing, database utilization and excel programming.
- Strong written and oral communication.
- Effective interpersonal skills; the ability to maintain good working relationships with a multicultural, multidisciplinary staff, Military officials, other departments and agencies, and other contract personnel.
- Possesses excellent problem solving, planning, organizing, management and supervisory abilities and skills.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervises personnel engaged in production control and supply operations.
- Working Conditions:
- Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months).
- Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
- Physical Requirements:
- Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
