Key Responsibilities

Procurement Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality purchasing.
  • Review and approve purchase requisitions, supplier contracts, and related documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to maintain optimal stock availability.
  • Implement best practices in sourcing, supplier evaluation, and vendor negotiations.

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Establish, implement, and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies in procurement operations.
  • Monitor and report departmental KPIs, providing management with insights and recommendations for improvement.

Team Leadership & Management

  • Supervise, guide, and evaluate subordinates, ensuring clear task delegation and accountability.
  • Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities to strengthen the teams skills and capabilities.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to align objectives, review progress, and address challenges.
  • Foster a collaborative work culture that promotes teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with other departments to support operational requirements and organizational priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless workflow and alignment with business objectives. Perform other related responsibilities as may be assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in procurement, preferably within a sales or trading company
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in reading the market.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
