Your Role:

As a Procurement Manager you will oversee our company's sourcing capabilities and supply chain. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of all procurement activities, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality goods, services, and materials at the most competitive prices. The ideal candidate will be a skilled negotiator with a strong business acumen, capable of developing and implementing procurement strategies that support our company's objectives, mitigate risks, and drive cost savings. This role requires strong leadership to manage the procurement team and build lasting relationships with key suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing & Planning:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive procurement strategies and policies aligned with company goals.
    • Analyze market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and new supplier relationships.
    • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the procurement function, such as cost reduction, supplier performance, and purchase price variance.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management:
    • Identify, evaluate, and qualify potential suppliers based on quality, service, price, and reliability.
    • Lead negotiations for contracts, terms, and pricing with local and international suppliers.
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key vendors to ensure a stable and efficient supply chain.
    • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
  • Purchasing & Operations:
    • Oversee the entire purchase-to-pay (P2P) cycle, including purchase requisitions, purchase order issuance, and timely delivery of goods and services.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Finance, Production) to understand their procurement needs and ensure requirements are met.
    • Resolve any issues related to supplier quality, delivery schedules, or invoicing.
  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
    • Set clear objectives for the team and provide regular performance feedback and coaching.
    • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow within the department.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and relevant Philippine laws and regulations.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain (e.g., supplier dependency, price volatility).
Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management.
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity, leading a procurement team.
    • Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and cost-saving initiatives.
    • Experience with both local and international sourcing is highly desirable.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Technical Skills:
      • Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and procurement software.
      • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
      • Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
    • Soft Skills:
      • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
      • Strong leadership and people management abilities.
      • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
      • High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
      • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
