Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Process Engineering – Test is responsible for production support, yield improvement, for failure mode analysis, RMA analysis, NPI. Work with R&D, process team, quality team to improve yield, reduce scrap and develop new competitive products, cost reduction project etc.
- Test Engineering- Responsible for developing and maintaining test stations throughout the optics test product family. Designing test stations and qualifying test systems. Typical project work includes: 1) design and develop test kits,2) maintain and continually improve existing test stations, 3) debug and analyze device test failures, 4) manage capacity requests for production test stations, 5) create and execute test station validation projects with a formalized report deliverable
- Bachelor or Degree in Optics, Electronics, Semiconductors, Physics, Automation or equivalent technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Min. 3 years working experience in complex manufacturing environment (Electronics, fiber optics or related experience is more preferred).
- Experience with Semiconductor working environment Assembly and Test Process.
- Basic knowledge about production line and optical-electronic products.
- Basic engineering knowledge is needed including electronics, mechanics, and fiber optical communication areas etc.
- Basic statistic and FMEA skills are needed, such as statistical process control knowledge, engineering tools-e.g. DOE, normal distribution, testing hypothesis, and Gauge R&R etc. hands-on experience of trouble-shooting test kits.
- Good communication (verbal and written) skill in English is a must for this position. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Project management skills.
- Good understanding and hands on experience of test methodologies applied to opto-electronics component
- Excellent electronics knowledge and experience on electrical analysis.
- Familiarity with the operation of test instrument such as laser source, multimeters, OSA, power meter, oscilloscope, etc.
- Adaptability, Customer Focus, Problem Solving, Decision Making and Continuous Improvement, Professional and Technical Knowledge and Skills, Teamwork and Positive Relationships, Work Standards/Quality/ Details
- This role is 100% onsite
