Process Engineer

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible on the process improvement in terms of yield, efficient and lean process flows on all product variants in the test area of Chip on Carrier product line
• Resolves operational test issues timely together with related stakeholders to sustain customer demands
• Establishes, reviews, improves specifications or documents to sustain continuous improvement at test
• Owns the test processes certification of operators, technicians and engineers at test
• In-charge of the electro-optical test and burn-in equipment from operational and technical aspects.
• Ensures that test workflows and best practices in the production area are compliant to the documented procedures and specifications. He ensures that monitor process controls are maintained and meets targets or limits according to Coherent standards.
  
  

Education & Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or related discipline, preferably with Master's Degree
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Semiconductor or Electronics / Opto-electronics and Fiber Optics Industry. Experience on start-up manufacturing and related New Product Introduction activities such as PFMEA, process characterization reviews, equipment design review, risk assessment, etc.
• Has good product and equipment understanding on testing and test processes
  
  

Skills

• Self driven, motivated and detail-oriented with proven troubleshooting skills
• Posses knowledge of test measurement systems, test handlers, burn-in test equipment and procedure.
• With strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Hands-on experience in Design of Experiments (DOE)
• Computer skills and other relevant coding experience is a big plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and manage priorities.
• Ability to work from general instructions for new assignments either in isolation or as part of a wider team.
• Able and willing to travel during product transfer (as needed)
