Your Role:

As a Pricing Data Analyst, you will:

• Regularly update pricing data in the billing system to reflect current rates, tariffs, and regulatory changes.
• Implement and maintain a systematic approach to pricing data management, ensuring all components (e.g., energy rates, network charges, environmental charges) are accurately represented.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes affecting energy pricing and collaborate with legal and compliance teams to maintain adherence to current regulations.
• Conduct regular audits of pricing data to identify and correct discrepancies.
• Perform data validation and testing of pricing changes before they go live.
• Diagnose and resolve pricing-related problems that cause billing inaccuracies or prevent bill distribution, working with IT, billing, and customer service teams.
• Generate reports on pricing data integrity and analyse trends to identify systemic improvements.
• Suggest and implement automation solutions to reduce manual data entry and enhance processes for managing pricing data.
• Liaise with various departments (e.g., Finance, Sales, Customer Service) to ensure pricing data meets their needs and provide clear explanations of pricing structures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to improve the billing platform's pricing module and participate in testing and validation of new system features.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python).
• Understanding of energy market pricing structures and regulations.
• Experience with billing systems and data management in the energy sector (critical).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Experience in the energy industry or billing platforms.
• Familiarity with automation tools to enhance pricing data management.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements in energy pricing.
• Experience in process improvement and developing documentation for best practices.
• Experience in collaborating with IT for system enhancements and testing.
