Job Description

The PR & Media Relations Officer strengthens corporate reputation across Southeast Asia by leading media relations, building relationships with key influencers, and developing communication programs to enhance brand awareness and crisis preparedness.

Qualifications

  • Media Relations:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive media relations strategy to secure placements in print, broadcast, and online media across the region.
    • Establish, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, bloggers, and industry influencers in the food, agribusiness (livestock, aquaculture, pet food), and agriculture sectors.
    • Pitch story ideas, craft press releases, and manage media inquiries.
    • Proactively monitor media coverage and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to leadership.
    • Develop and deliver media training programs for internal teams, with a specific focus on crisis communication.
  • Brand Reputation Management:
    • Collaborate with the Communications Manager to develop and implement communication strategies that support brand objectives and build a positive corporate reputation.
    • Oversee the creation and distribution of consistent brand messaging across communication channels, including internal and external communications, promotional materials, among others.
      • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent brand messaging across all communications.
    • Monitor effectiveness, prepare reports, and use of data & insights to help enhance our future campaigns
  • Internal Communications:
    • Develop high-impact, compelling stories that resonate with target audiences
    • Develop and maintain the Crisis Communication Plan to ensure effective response and communication during critical situations.
    • Create media training programs for internal teams, with a specific focus on crisis communication, to ensure all spokespersons are prepared to effectively represent the company in media interviews.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Provide guidance to the team with PR and Media, preferably with experience in multinational companies, specifically within pan-Asia or Southeast Asia regions.
    • Serve as the lead point of contact for media inquiries and other communication matters.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including other departments, business units, and industry associations.
