About the Role
Responsibilities:
- Develop business plan and strategy to enhance Surbana Jurong - SMEC presence in Philippines Port and Maritime Sector.
- Work jointly with sub-regionals lead to develop budget.
- Develop marketing strategy and deploy marketing campaign within approved budget.
- Engage Port and Maritime clients in Philippines. Lead the discussion with clients to appraise SJ-SMEC P&M capabilities.
- Build strategic relationships with key clients.
- Liaise and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties.
- Lead vendor registration process for potential Ports and Maritime clients in Philippines.
- Act as a bid manager and lead tender submission. Work closely with sub-regional lead on internal approval process for tender submission.
- Lead team of engineers and draftspersons.
- Act as project manager and project reviewer for successful delivery of the projects.
- Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations and Codes of Practice and maintain high quality standards of design, supervision as well as guiding junior engineers.
- Assist sub-regional lead for internal reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering in either Civil / Coastal
- Total 12 to 15 yrs of experience.
- Minimum 5 years for experience in coastal / port development projects in Philippines.
- Experience in Business Development and Tender Preparation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport
- Experience in port design or port construction management will be preferred.
- Willing to take up multiple role such as Business development / Bid Management / Project Management
