Job Overview

  • Segment Portfolio Evaluation and Strategy Development

Collaborates with Medical Affairs, Business Development, R&D, and the marketing divisions across Unilab Group to establish and identify the strategic vision, and develops new business opportunities. Works with Business Heads on the proposed portfolio strategies, and represents business units in presenting to Top Management for approval.

  • Market and Segment Review

Performs an analysis on market trends (sales data, prescriptions, competitive intelligence) and forming assumptions to provide management of the market scenario affecting the business, needed during the yearly segment, brand, budget and business reviews.

  • Customer Insighting/Profiling

Gathers relevant insights on customer behavior from all sources, initiates research studies to be able to profile the target market/s and identify the jobs to be done, and provides recommendations to divisions whenever there are new products sourced that may be considered for inclusion in the portfolio.

  • Forecasting/Volumetrics/Market Sizing

Integrates available data and relevant market insights for the assigned segment/s to come with rationale market estimates and forecasts in preparation for business reviews, annual planning, and long-term strategic plans.

  • Special Projects

Oversees the planning and execution of all critical path activities leading to timely launch of new products as identified in the long-range plans. Works in close collaboration with cross-functional members of the Segment Team responsible for new product development and commercialization.

Required Qualifications

  • Attained bachelor’s degree in any business or marketing-related course
  • With at least eight (8) years of marketing experience, handling several brands (or portfolio) and has been deeply involved in new product development, sales, and business development.
  • Must have a good appreciation of the relevant market
  • Has excellent financial skills, and sharp business acumen
