This investment will scale Vaults SECRET Cloud and introduce new services such as the AUKUS cloud capability, directly addressing Australias strategic national security demands. Vault is now positioned to not only strengthen its existing relationships with federal and state government agencies, but also strengthen its relationships with private sector businesses requiring secure cloud storage.To support this growth, we are bolstering our capability by adding numerous key roles that are integral to our future success. Join our innovative team as a Platform Engineer focused on developing and managing core platform products (database, backup) and building container orchestration with OpenStack and Kubernetes (K8s), primarily using Rancher and GitLab for CI/CD. Drive the creation of robust and scalable cloud solutions.This is a remote role and is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of developing and integrating cutting-edge cloud products that protect some of Australia’s most critical data.

You Will Be Responsible For

• Ensuring the design, development, and upkeep of high-quality, scalable systems.
• Working cross-functionally to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Engaging in Vault’s SDLC, leveraging DevOps practices and maintaining coding standards.
• Contributing to backlog management, resource planning, and efficient product delivery.
• Staying ahead of industry trends, drive innovation, and optimize system design.
  
  

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate with:

• Proficiency in platform layer solutions, e.g. database, backup.
• Proficiency in cloud native technologies.
• Design and architecture of platform orchestration.
• Real-life experience with industry standard automation toolkits
• GitLab administration and CI/CD pipeline management.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers in delivery of required outcomes
• Broad set of technical skills and knowledge across hardware, software, systems and solutions development and a across more than one technical domain
• Demonstrated ability to quickly perform proof-of-concepts for validating new technology or approach
• A passion for technology and security
• Flexibility to enjoy and thrive within a fast-paced, agile, and expanding scale-up environment
