Role Purpose:


 

As a Planning Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing accurate project programs and ensuring adherence to timelines. This mid-level position will give you the opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders to optimize resources, mitigate risks, and maintain consistent planning standards.


 

Key Responsibilities:


 

Planning & Pre-Construction:


 

  • Collaborate with the Business Development team, Estimating, and Pre-Contracts managers to understand client requirements and seek clarifications on project scope.
  • Develop robust project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and construction methodologies.
  • Incorporate innovative technologies like 4D planning to optimize construction workflows and timelines.
  • Evaluate time-related risks and opportunities during the bid phase.

Project Execution & Monitoring:


 

  • Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to plans, identifying deviations and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Support Commercial teams in negotiating revised terms, timelines, and contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Investigate delay and disruption events and assist in entitlement claims.

Stakeholder Management:


 

  • Maintain ongoing communication with business heads, project managers, clients, and subcontractors to anticipate project risks and address emerging challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address concerns and propose solutions tailored to client needs.

Qualifications & Skills:Required Qualifications:


 

  • Degree in Building/Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Approximately 5-7 years of relevant experience in construction project planning.
  • Proficiency in planning software such as P6, Asta PP, or Tilos.

Preferred Skills:


 

  • Knowledge of construction methodologies, risk management, and stakeholder management.
  • Basic understanding of construction contracts, especially in the Philippines or similar regions.
  • Effective communication and a willingness to learn about emerging trends in construction planning.

Behavioral Competencies:


 

  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced project challenges and team dynamics.
  • Attention to detail and drive for accuracy in planning execution.
