We have a great opportunity for an experienced Planning Engineer to join our Construction Phase Services Team to successfully deliver and support projects within the Philippines.

Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Reporting to the Owner’s Engineer Team Project Manager and to the corresponding Team Leader under the Construction Phase Services Business Group.
• Developing coordinated works schedule considering interphases with various contract packages to achieve smooth project implementation.
• Taking ownership of the tracking and updating of the approved construction schedule including of the analysis and determination of schedule risks and opportunities in achieving the project milestones.
• Providing recommendation on how to mitigate potential delay risks and instigate the formulation of a schedule catch-up plan in close coordination with the OE team, contractors and client.
• Comprehending design/ construction drawings and review material BOQ of contractors to determine any error or inconsistencies and perform quantity take-off if deemed necessary.
• Reviewing and/or determining the progress accomplishment of contractor/s by checking as constructed or installed quantities via site measurement / verification in coordination with Resident Engineer/ Inspectors and with contractors’ QS.
• Determining and reporting a weekly Earned Value Analysis against planned value presented in comprehensive Gant charts and tables.
• Reviewing contractors progress billing and endorse to Project Manager for recommendation to the client of an interim payment certificate.
• Assisting the contracts manager in evaluating contract variation claims such as Cost Variation and Time Extension by providing delay timeline and VO cost/unit costs analysis.
• Maintaining a comprehensive project report enumerating the original contract cost and schedule, approved cost variation and time extension and potential further project variations for submission to client monthly.
• Attending the weekly construction coordination meeting and lead discussion on the project schedule and cost agenda and progress accomplishment.
• Understanding project/ contract specifications and developing timeline and detailed construction schedule aligned to overall implementation program and set milestones for the project.
• Developing a comprehensive Work Breakdown Structure in accordance with the contract and establish the said WBS as basis of developing a detailed implementation schedule.
• Observing existing construction processes, analysing contractors’ performance against schedule, and highlighting areas with schedule deficiencies and seek appropriate action from respective contractors.
  
  

What you will bring to the team:

• Degree in engineering and/or other related courses.
• Planning and project management skills i.e., MS Project and/or Primavera
• Experience in renewable projects such as Windfarm, Solar and/or Hydroelectric PP projects, marine construction projects and/or water facilities.
• With over 10 years relevant experience Planning Engineer and/or QS Cost Engineer of construction projects.
• Proficiency in MS Office i.e. Excel Spreadsheets
• Strong analytical, critical, and logical thinking skills
  
  

This job offer will be fulltime on project site assignment in Real, Quezon.
