The Role
As part of Twinkl’s Content Writers/Editors team, you'll play a key role in supporting those who teach by crafting engaging and inspiring lesson plans, along with activity sheets, PowerPoints, and assessments. Lesson plans will be a focal point of your work, helping teachers and parents create fun, interactive, and meaningful learning experiences for children.
The resources you'll create will cover Preschool to Junior High School levels, focusing on DepEd-aligned contents. You'll help make learning an enjoyable adventure for students and a rewarding experience for educators!

Ongoing Projects/how You’ll Spend Your Day
- Developing DepEd-aligned teaching and learning materials, tests, and other resources in Filipino to support effective education across subjects and grade levels in the Philippines.
- Creating engaging, innovative, and accessible resources in Filipino that make learning fun and relevant while aligning with DepEd standards.
- Offering detailed feedback on grammar, punctuation, and curriculum alignment to ensure the highest quality in every resource.
- Collaborating with the team to enhance content using your teaching expertise, ensuring resources align with effective teaching practices and current methodologies.
- Meeting with content writers, editors, and the Philippines Country Manager to brainstorm and develop new product ideas tailored to Filipino educators’ and students' needs.
- Communicating effectively with writers, editors, designers, and illustrators to bring creative ideas to life and maintain a smooth workflow.
- Updating and curating existing Filipino-language resources to keep them relevant, aligned with customer needs, and in line with DepEd standards.
- Participating in regular team meetings to align priorities, resolve challenges, and contribute to the growth of Twinkl in the Philippines.

- Possess in-depth, up-to-date knowledge of the Department of Education’s MATATAG Curriculum and its application in both private and public school settings.
- Understand the unique needs of teachers and learners in the Philippines, offering solutions that make teaching and learning in Filipino more effective, enjoyable, and culturally relevant.
- Be professionally fluent in both written and spoken English, with strong proficiency in written and spoken Filipino, essential for developing resources in the language.
- Be proficient in using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools, adapting effortlessly to various IT platforms.
- Have a deep understanding of the challenges, trends, and opportunities within the Philippines teaching community, staying ahead of educational shifts and innovations.
- Commit to continuous professional development, always seeking ways to grow and contribute to the success of Filipino educators and learners.
- How to create engaging and diverse educational content for teachers and students, from brainstorming ideas to publication on our platform.
- To collaborate remotely with team members and educational professionals across various markets, enhancing your communication and teamwork skills.
- Developing a stronger commercial awareness to better understand the needs of the teachers, parents, and learners we aim to support.
- How to ideate and produce inclusive, engaging, and varied resources for children and teachers, ensuring each piece is tailored to meet the highest standards.
- To review content and provide constructive feedback to fellow writers, elevating the quality of each resource.
- To work in agile teams, allowing you to quickly adapt, solve problems, and shift tasks to meet deadlines.
- Learning to collaborate with educators worldwide through focus groups and customer feedback initiatives to refine and improve our offerings.
- How to apply your teaching expertise to create innovative products that directly impact classroom learning, from concept to final publication.
- How to navigate project tracking software and other internal systems to keep content development on track.
- How to utilise a range of IT systems to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
- A talented team of qualified teachers who specialize in writing, editing, and producing high-quality content across all learning areas.
- Our exceptional in-house design and illustration teams, working closely with them to create visually engaging and polished resources that Twinkl is renowned for.
- Experience teaching from grade school to high school, with a strong understanding of classroom needs.
- In-depth knowledge of the Department of Education’s MATATAG Curriculum.
- A degree in Education and a licensed professional teacher.
- Confidence and ability to write lesson plans and develop new content across a variety of subjects, with a focus on creating resources in Filipino.
- Previous teaching experience combined with a passion for developing teaching and learning materials tailored to Filipino educators and students.
- Proficiency in the Filipino language, as resources will primarily be written in Filipino.
- Ability to supply and maintain your own IT equipment for remote work.
- Reliable access to a fast internet connection (minimum 6mb download and 1mb upload). We recommend using speedtest.net to verify your internet speed.
