We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant & Junior Accountant to support our growing finance team in Manila. In this role, you will primarily assist the Payroll Officer with day-to-day payroll tasks and help the accounting team with basic financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive environment and gain exposure to both payroll and accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Support

• Assist in gathering, verifying, and preparing payroll-related data
• Help maintain and update employee payroll records and documentation
• Support the preparation of payroll reports and statutory filings (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR)
• Assist with timesheet reviews, leave tracking, and adjustments
• Respond to routine payroll-related employee queries under supervision
• Undergo training to develop capability to fully prepare payroll as a backup to the Payroll Officer
  
  

Accounting Support

• Perform basic data entry and maintain accurate financial records
• Assist in preparing supporting schedules and documentation for month-end close
• Perform bank reconciliations, including reconciliations for group-level accounts
• Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Assist in organizing and maintaining financial files and documents
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
• 0-2 years of relevant experience in payroll and/or general accounting (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply)
• Basic understanding of Philippine payroll and tax regulations is an advantage but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy
• Strong sense of maturity, integrity, and professionalism, especially when handling sensitive and confidential payroll information
• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Willingness to learn and support a collaborative team environment
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
