Your Role

• Assist in drafting and formatting legal documents including pleadings, discovery, and client correspondence under supervision.
• Support attorneys and senior paralegals in preparing digital materials for virtual hearings, mediations, and court appearances.
• Organize and maintain electronic case files in compliance with firm standards; ensure all documents are uploaded, labeled, and stored correctly.
• Coordinate with third parties—such as expert witnesses, process servers, and court clerks—via phone, email, and virtual platforms.
• Respond to client communications (email, calls, or text) in a timely and professional manner, routing complex matters to senior staff.
• Accurately track and update case milestones, deadlines, and notes in the irm’s case management software.
• Record billable and non-billable time daily, following firm guidelines for remote work documentation.
• Participate in regularly scheduled virtual case review meetings, one-on-one check-ins, and firmwide team calls.
• Attend remote training sessions and receive mentorship from senior paralegals to build legal knowledge and workflow proficiency.
• Collaborate with team members via video calls, Slack, and email to maintain transparency and alignment on case progress.
• Adhere to remote work protocols, including being available during core business hours, attending scheduled virtual meetings, and responding to internal communications within a reasonable timeframe.
• Contribute to remote administrative tasks such as document clean-up, database updates, or checklist audits as assigned.
• Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and the firm’s virtual code of conduct at all times.
• Assist with special projects related to internal processes, remote technology tools, or client service improvements.
• Refrain from providing legal advice or making promises regarding legal outcomes, fees, or timelines.
• Maintain consistent virtual work habits, including clocking in/out, adhering to break schedules, and requesting overtime in advance.

What You Need

Skills & Experience Preferred:

• Basic legal terminology knowledge (U.S required, family law preferred)
• Document formatting (pleadings, declarations, discovery templates, letters, etc.)
• Legal document review (spotting incomplete info, inconsistent formatting, or missing
  
  

fields)

• Data entry & document management (accurate input of case information in CMS, labeling PDFs, version control)
• Calendar support (entering court deadlines or appointments based on instruction)
