As an Outbound Call Center Agent, you will be a crucial link in our customer relationship management, specifically focusing on retaining valuable customers for a prominent Canadian client within the food industry. Your primary responsibility will be to proactively reach out to existing customers, address their concerns, resolve issues, and provide solutions that encourage them to continue their engagement with our client's products or services. This role requires excellent communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively contact existing customers via phone to understand their needs, identify reasons for potential attrition, and offer solutions to retain their business.
  • Engage in consultative conversations, actively listening to customer feedback and concerns.
  • Effectively address customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Educate customers on the features, benefits, and value proposition of the client's food products or services.
  • Negotiate and offer appropriate retention strategies, including special offers, product upgrades, or alternative solutions, to prevent churn.
  • Document all customer interactions accurately and thoroughly in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Achieve and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly retention targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge and stay updated on client offerings and industry trends.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and client-specific guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in an outbound sales, retention, customer service, or telemarketing role, preferably within a BPO setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with a neutral accent and strong command of grammar and vocabulary.
  • Proven ability to build rapport and effectively persuade customers.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult conversations and rejections gracefully.
  • Results-oriented with a strong drive to achieve targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other call center tools.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to align with the operating hours of the Canadian client.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college level or graduate is a plus.
  • Previous experience in the food industry or with Canadian accounts is an advantage, but not required.
