The Operations Officer is primarily responsible for the accurate, efficient, and timely processing of the assigned Trade and Supply Chain transactions and services within agreed service level indicators and compliant to international and local regulations, and the Bank’s internal policies.

Major Responsibilities

  • Handles credit line and insurance checking, and post processing support
  • Process Import Booking and Payment
  • Process Letters of Credit Issuance, Negotiation, Payment and Conversion
  • Process cash disbursement
  • Process credit cards
  • Reviews the completeness and correctness of transaction details encoded in the applicable systems to ensure accurate transaction implementation upon approval.
  • Evaluates transaction count vis-à-vis resource requirements and organizes key resources and processes to ensure committed turn-around-time is met with a service level of at least 4-sigma.
  • Attends to escalated queries and assesses referred special cases to recommend feasible alternatives in relation to the client’s needs and the applicable policies and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Management or related disciplines
  • At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in banking processes and operations related to trade and supply chain (modes of payment, documentation, processing, policies, and accounting)
  • Knowledge in Banking processes and operations related to trade and supply chain (modes of payment, documentation, processing, policies, and accounting)
  • Strong leadership, decision-making and people management skills.
  • Detail Oriented, highly analytical, organized, and proficient in oral and written communication.
  • Must be able to connect and apply the internal policies, local regulations, and international standards applicable to each product when implementing the high volume of transactions
