NPD Engineer - QA
We are seeking a talented and proactive New Product Engineer to join our Quality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our new products from the Design Stage to Mass Production Release. You will work closely with NPD and other cross-functional teams, like operations, product management, supplier quality, and development, to create
and execute test plans that meet the highest quality standards.

NPD Engineer - QA
We are seeking a talented and proactive New Product Engineer to join our Quality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our new products from the Design Stage to Mass Production Release. You will work closely with NPD and other cross-functional teams, like operations, product management, supplier quality, and development, to create
and execute test plans that meet the highest quality standards.
About The Job
- Design Integration: Collaborate with design and cross-functional teams to ensure product design meets quality standards and incorporates manufacturability and assembly considerations.
- Risk Mitigation: Conduct risk assessments and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and address potential issues early in the development.
- Process Validation: Ensure the development and execution of design verification, process validations, and testing plans. Get assurance that product functions correctly and complies with company standards and regulations.
- Lead and supervise critical QA NPD Activities:
- Oversee completion of critical QA tasks including KPI’s, Engineering Build Reports and Customer Sample Request.
- Ensure timely completion of all major QA deliverables associated with New Product Development (NPD) projects.
- Control Plan Ownership - Lead the creation and execution of Control Plans across Prototype, Pre-Production, and Production Phases.
- Phase Gate Compliance - Ensure all QA-related deliverables across the 5-phase NPD process are completed prior to mass production.
- Documentation & Reporting - Create, review, and approve project documentation, quality plans, and reports, monitoring and documenting quality performance. Ensure full traceability and compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze quality data, customer feedback, and product performance to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- 2+ years of work experience in an electronics / automotive electronics manufacturing company
- Human relations and leadership skills
- Well-versed in statistical tools
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Six Sigma Green Belt certified is an advantage
- Extensive experience in using QC Tools and 8D report
- SOLID experience in the following areas:
- Control Plan, SPC,MSA and FMEA
- New Product Introduction / New Product Development
- Reliability Test
- Design of Experiments
