Network Engineer – Job Description

UnifyCX’s Network Engineer must be friendly and pleasant to work with, flexible, and ready to take on new challenges.

In this role, you will:

• , implement, and maintain the company’s local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN).
• Configure, support, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related hardware.
• Monitor network performance and ensure maximum uptime, availability, and reliability.
• Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, software, and connectivity solutions.
• Implement and maintain network security protocols to safeguard company data and systems.
• Conduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities and apply appropriate remediation.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems with servers, applications, and cloud platforms.
• Provide technical support and problem resolution for network-related issues.
• Research and recommend network enhancements, upgrades, and emerging technologies.
• Develop and maintain accurate network documentation and diagrams.
  
  
  

Who You Are:

To be considered, candidates are expected to have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• At least 3–5 years of experience in network engineering or network administration.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
• Proficiency in network security practices, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are preferred.
• Strong familiarity with Cisco, Meraki, Cato Networks, and FortiGate devices.
• Knowledge of Contact Center operations and applications (CRM, ticketing systems, VoIP, Dialer, Chat Support, Social Media Support, Workforce Management, Quality Assurance, knowledgebase, LMS) is a plus.
• Experience supporting at-home/remote agents is preferred.
