As an Financial Accountant, you will:
- Prepare & post required monthly journals.
- Preparation of monthly P&Ls, and associated analysis, as well as providing commentary on performance to the Management Team.
- Prepare monthly balance sheets and maintaining supporting schedules accurately.
- Reconciliation of financials statement accounts.
- GAP and variance analysis on all P&L line items and management of accruals, reversals, and journals.
- Prepare and lodge monthly BAS returns.
What You Need:
- Intermediate (or better) user of Microsoft Office & associated applications (especially Excel)
- Preferably a CPA
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Business, or anything related.
- At least 5 Years’ experience in a Financial Accounting role in an organization with multiple business units.
- Experience navigating a set of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cashflows) and an understanding of how they map to the general ledger and subledger.
- Experience collaborating with business teams remotely with ability to engage and draw out needs and provide actionable insights.
- Previous experience in an industrial distribution or manufacturing business would be ideal.
- Experience in an ERP environment. D365 experience an advantage.
