About You And This Role

Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for MRO and Materials Coordinator / Documenter role locating in Las Pinas site, Philippines.

This role act as a focal point for acquisition, scheduling and distribution of materials, supplies and service requisitions in order to expedite materials and manages Maintenance Repair and Operating (MRO) supplies inventory. The main scope is for maintenance jobs. Requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Transfer history from Do Work/Maintenance Technicians into the Computer Management System.

This history data is needed so that decisions can be made to improve reliability by helping us set and optimize our Predictive and Preventative Maintenance Frequencies (just like oil changes in your car). History data helps us:

Identify parts that need to be replaced versus repaired.

Justify and prioritize improvements that are identified.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the business in articulating the business MRO supply strategy.
  • Serves as the focal point responsible for the Generation of Code requests for inventoried and non -inventoried MRO material.
  • Executes Order Recommendation process. Analyzes, establishes and manages MRO inventory levels. Maintains MRO inventory records and parameters. Performs technical identification of new and/or existing MRO materials. Participates in standardization of MRO materials.
  • Documents Critical Spare Part Definition and parameters for a critical spare parts.
  • Handles reservations and backorders for MRO inventory items. Sets up new items for inventory and executes MRO inventory replenishments.
  • Analyzes surplus/obsolete materials or equipment and initiates investment recovery process.
  • Monitors supplier performances regarding timelines and completeness of deliveries.
  • Participates in systems support functions including changes to programs, functionality and testing.
  • Acts as problem solver for technical aspects on MRO materials.
  • Communicates any potential changes in material specifications between supplier and requestor and initiates system updates, as appropriate.
  • Coordinates the disposition of all surplus material. Coordinates the repair and/or return of materials, tools and equipment obtained on a value added work order.
  • Monitors/tracks materials, tools and equipment orders upon receipt.
  • Arranges materials, tools and equipment in a manner, that it can be identified and picked up according to job needs.
  • Gathers information and inputs into the appropriate maintenance measures/key performance indicators (KPI). Uses metrics to measure materials coordination tasks and develops action to improve the process.
  • Communicates vendor performance to procurement services.
  • Works closely with procurement, coding, planning, scheduling and work coordination to provide seamless execution of the Global Management Work Process (GMWP).
  • Ensure that material and equipment requested by the Planner and/or Work Activity Coordinator are ready and available for crafts to do the work to meet the agreed Need Date with the Gatekeeper.
  • Obtain parts from the local warehouse across Dow, or an approved vendor.
  • Inform the Planner and/or Work Activity Coordinator when the materials will arrive.
  • Provides maintenance craft specific support to plants.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary Degree Holder plus maintenance experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance area with AutoCAD and PID drawing skill is preferred.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
