JOB DESCRIPTION

Join J.P. Morgan's Asset and Wealth Management as a Mortgage Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards across mortgage operations, supporting ultra and high net worth clients with precision and compliance, while driving innovation and excellence in service delivery.

As a Mortgage Specialist within the Wealth Management Quality Control Operations team, you will play a crucial role in reviewing activities across the Mortgage Line of Business to ensure they meet business expectations and regulatory compliance. Your responsibilities will include conducting quality control reviews as part of the Mortgage Production QC team, managing turn-times, and upholding high standards of quality and compliance. You will also be in charge of daily SLA management, with a focus on file accuracy, prompt review of rush files, and quality and dispute assessments. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovation projects and suggest improvements to procedures.

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintain high standards and adhere to all process controls without lapses.
• Handle issues and escalate to management when necessary.
• Interact with different stakeholders to resolve process issues and play a key role in enhancing process controls.
• Suggest process enhancements and possible automations for better controls, and perform periodic risk and controls analysis with the team for process risk valuation.
• Organize effectively, set priorities, and manage the pipeline proficiently.
• Achieve daily production targets consistently and complete priority reviews within stipulated timelines.
• Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree and be willing to work on North America schedules, with the ability to adjust hours for Daylight Savings Time.
• Bring 2+ years of experience in US mortgage loan originations, with a preference for experience in Quality Control processes.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills for resolving issues with internal and external parties.
• Demonstrate expertise in mortgage concepts, a working knowledge of major US Mortgage Regulations, and a detailed understanding of the mortgage origination life cycle.
• Be proficient in analyzing documents such as Title, Homeowners Insurance/Flood, and Appraisal, and experienced in production management, work allocation, prioritization, exception handling, process documentation, and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:

• Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree.
• Willing to work on North America schedules, Able to adjust work hours slightly during Daylight Savings Time.
• Have 2+ years of experience in US mortgage loan originations.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills for issue resolution with internal and external parties.
• Demonstrate expertise in mortgage concepts and working knowledge of major US Mortgage Regulations.
• Have a detailed understanding of all stages of the mortgage origination life cycle.
• Proficient in analyzing documents such as Title, Homeowners Insurance/Flood, and Appraisal.
• Experienced in production management, work allocation, prioritization, exception handling, and process documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Experience in Quality Control processes is preferred.
