The Moodle Administrator is responsible for managing student administration, student management systems, e-learning platforms, short course platforms, and compliance with federal, state, and territory funding agreements. This role serves as a key point of contact for students, trainers, and internal teams, ensuring a high level of customer service and operational efficiency.


Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information System/Technology, Computer Science, Instructional Design, or any relevant degree
  • At least 3-4 years of previous experience with Moodle
  • Previous experience in customer support is a plus
  • Previous experience in the RTO industry is highly regarded

Key Responsibilities

Student Administration

• Manage end-to-end student administration processes, including:

• Student enrolment and database entry

• Notifying students of enrolment and completion

• Handling customer enquiries, complaints, and appeals

• Addressing trainer enquiries

• Coordinating assessment submissions, including recording, assessor allocation, and distribution

• Maintain and manage the student management system (Wisenet), including:

• Setting up and maintaining student enrolments

• Configuring qualifications as per the organisation’s scope of registration

• Updating assessment results and uploading student documentation

• Issuing qualification certificates

• Support continuous improvement by:

• Ensuring integration between the student management system and survey tools

• Generating and distributing email surveys

• Ensure compliance with reporting requirements, including:

• AVETMISS reporting

• Quality Indicator data collection and reporting

• Managing funding agreements, training plans, and reporting in line with federal, state, and territory contracts

• USI maintenance and reporting

• Review and enhance operational processes for efficiency


Systems Administration

• Maintain the organisation’s e-learning platform, including:

• System administration tasks

• Managing student enrolments

• Updating and maintaining qualifications

• Support the design and development of e-learning courses, including:

• Recommending improvements for current and new courses

• Ongoing maintenance of existing courses

• Manage the short course platform (Thinkific), including:

• Recommending and implementing course updates

• Ongoing system and course maintenance

• Perform additional duties as required by the General Manager – Training
