Your day at NTT DATA

The Pre-Sales Consultant plays a key role in supporting the sales process by providing deep functional and technical expertise in ERP solutions. This role bridges the gap between customer needs and ERP capabilities, ensuring tailored, high-value proposals and demonstrations that drive business development and customer acquisition. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in ERP implementations, strong client-facing skills, and a strategic mindset

What You'll Be Doing

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Client Engagement

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and develop solution strategies.
  • Participate in client meetings, workshops, and discovery sessions to gather business requirements.
  • Deliver compelling ERP solution presentations, demos, and proof-of-concepts (POCs) aligned with customer needs.
  • Articulate the value proposition and business benefits of the ERP solution in various industries.

Solutioning & Proposal Support

  • Analyze RFPs and RFQs and provide detailed and customized responses.
  • Design solution architectures based on client requirements and system capabilities.
  • Prepare high-quality proposals, SoWs (Statements of Work), and BoMs (Bills of Material).
  • Provide accurate effort estimates and assist with pricing and licensing models.

Product & Market Expertise

  • Stay updated on ERP products, industry trends, competitive solutions, and best practices.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of core ERP modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Project, HR and others.
  • Tailor solutions for different geographies and industries, considering local compliance and business processes.

Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with delivery, product, and marketing teams to align sales strategies with service capabilities.
  • Share customer insights to help refine solution offerings and roadmap development.
  • Mentor junior pre-sales team members and support knowledge-sharing across regions

Requirements:

  • Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in ERP implementation or pre-sales, preferably with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, Dynamics NAV or Dynamics 365 Business Central.
  • Proven track record in solution selling and client-facing consulting roles. Skills
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and related business processes.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
  • Experience with tools like PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and other collaboration platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects in a fast-paced environment.
