The mission of the Metrics & Reporting Specialist is to understand and improve the Google Ads Customer Experience (CX) by uncovering data-driven actionable insights at scale. These insights are highly sought after by Ads leadership to inform business and product decision making, providing the best experiences possible to our users. The Customer Experience (CX) Lab conducts recurring customer sentiment surveys on behalf of Ads Ecosystem Leadership. We assess the experiences of the hands-on users of Google's Ads products, distill and analyze these findings, and document and present associated insights to Ads leadership.

Position Responsibilities

  • Streamline and optimize existing PLX dashboards and data pipelines
  • Create documentation for existing PLX dashboards and data infrastructure
  • Suggest improvements to existing PLX dashboards to support scalability
  • Suggest design changes and enhancements to improve readability & speed
  • Implement features and design changes to existing PLX dashboards, as needed
  • Design and develop new PLX dashboards, as needed
  • Transfer reporting from Data Studio to PLX, as needed
  • Support with data cleaning and script writing (using SQL), as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Expert SQL-based dashboard development and management. 2+ years experience minimum. (PLX experience for internal candidates)
  • Expert SQL skills, including writing queries from scratch, 2+ years experience
  • Strong background in data quality control (checking accuracy of output, formatting, design, etc)
  • Familiarity with Python in order to cross-reference SQL and Python scripts
  • Ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication
  • Fluency in Google Sheets

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of statistics (hypothesis testing including ANOVA, z-tests, and t-tests)
  • Ability to write Python code from scratch preferred
