Medical Billing Specialist (US Based Client)

Employment Type: Full-Time Employment

Work Setup: Onsite onboarding for two weeks, followed by a transition to a remote setup.

Work Schedule: Night Shift (Following U.S. Time Zone)

Location: Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City

Salary Package: 40,000 PHP to 50,000 PHP/Monthly

Position Overview

Support Columbia’s billing operations through insurance verification, claims processing, and accounts receivable follow-up. This role requires accuracy, speed, and excellent communication with patients and insurers, all within HIPAA-compliant standards.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility and secure pre-authorizations
• Submit and process claims, adjustments, and payments accurately
• Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable via phone and email
• Respond to patient and insurer billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies
• Log billing activities and maintain compliance with privacy regulations
• Collaborate closely with onshore billing staff across the U.S. in a virtual setting
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree of any related field
• 3+ years of medical billing experience is required.

• Proficiency with any EMR/Billing platform is required.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance processes including AR and payer communications
• Detail-oriented with a track record of accurate, timely work
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
