This high-visibility, high-impact role will be responsible for global reporting and analytics to inform executive decisions. While the immediate focus of this role will be on pipeline reporting, the vision for this role includes a gradually increasing scope of globalized data, developing and implementing the comprehensive tools, technology, and strategies to transform data into actionable global and regional business insights. This role includes a high degree of collaboration with regional analytics leaders, business unit leaders, and senior regional leadership to respond quickly to changing regional needs and ensure continued alignment between global and regional reporting. The role will develop and grow a team of engaged, empowered, high performing analysts with reporting, data science, and automation capabilities to meet both Global and Americas Sales Data Analytics needs.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate, timely, and regionally aligned global pipeline reporting to regional and global executive audience on monthly cadence
  • Inspire, lead, and challenge a team of analysts with reporting and data science responsibilities in support of Global and Americas Sales initiatives
  • Build rapport with regional teams to create a One Vertiv culture in which all thrive
  • Coach team members to engage effectively with both high-context and low-context cultures to ensure tight global coordination despite geographic and cultural barriers, communicating a sense of urgency as appropriate to facilitate rapid iteration and delivery
  • Partner with data teams to create and leverage global datasets, bringing efficiencies to regional teams
  • Work closely with the sales, operations, and other functional leaders to identify and address gaps in data analytics and align data insights with business objectives and strategy
  • Continuously evolve team processes to be best in class in highly dynamic technical environment
  • Act as data analytics champion to advance the adoption of data-driven decision making
  • Develop and implement core data integrity controls and standards in collaboration with partner teams
  • Train stakeholders on data analytics tools / processes/ systems developed and educate them on how to leverage these to manage their respective businesses
  • Design, build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics to drive effective business decisions
  • Visualize and communicate data-driven stories followed by clear insights and recommendations
  • Provide opportunities for team cross-training to ensure uninterrupted service and smooth transitions

Qualifications

  • 8+ years relevant work experience with proven track record on:
  • Extreme attention to detail to ensure global reporting is both accurate and regionally aligned
  • Data analytics and data science experience (preferably with intermediate skills in both Power Bi and Python) sufficient to keep analytics efforts moving apace when resources in other regions are offline
  • Ability to work under pressure, delegate effectively, handle multiple tasks and deliverables within expected timelines and accuracy, and prioritize tasks accordingly
  • Comfort with ambiguity, with making and testing assumptions, taking action on own initiative, and experience coaching others through handling highly ambiguous requests
  • Working closely across all levels of the organization, functions, and countries
  • Employing a mindset of curiosity to relentlessly drive improvements and learn from setbacks
  • Managing a team of analysts and developing their technical skills, business acumen, sense of personal ownership, urgency, and confidence in handling ambiguous assignments
