Manager, Physical Security and Compliance

General Responsibilities

  • Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments to support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management.
  • Maintain relevant EHS logs and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate the purchase, proper use, maintenance, and inspection of safety and personal protective equipment.
  • Prepare applicable EHS reports as necessary.
  • Provide assistance and advice on EHS issues and make recommendations to facility management.
  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Promote incident prevention for employees and visitors.
  • Assist in developing and presenting EHS training and certification programs.
  • Observe EHS regulations, wear required safety equipment, encourage safe practices, and report hazards.
  • Work with employees to achieve cultural change despite resistance.
  • Maintain positive relations with managers, employees, customers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as required.
  • Comply with all company and EHS procedures and policies.


Facility-Specific Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Walk the operating floor regularly to establish EHS presence and provide support.
  • Conduct daily and monthly EHS meetings/trainings as needed.
  • Write, implement, and manage EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform facility EHS inspections.
  • Evaluate and ensure proper use and maintenance of PPE.
  • Enforce compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, BOSH) and company EHS policies.
  • Oversee hazardous waste storage and ensure compliance (labeling, containment, disposal, documentation).
  • Assist in emergency response and provide first aid.
  • Oversee behavior-based safety programs.
  • Help develop Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).
  • Follow and maintain fall protection program and inspection records.
  • Participate/lead plant safety committee.
  • Administer and maintain safety compliance programs (e.g., LOTO, Hazard Communication, EAP, PPE, Hot Work, Confined Spaces, Respiratory Protection, BBP).


Process Improvement & Standardization

  • Own EHS processes and ensure standardization across all sites.
  • Resolve process audit points in collaboration with department heads.
  • Lead special projects as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety Sciences.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role (manufacturing industry experience is a plus).
  • Technical writing skills (a plus).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work different shifts and occasional weekends.
  • SO4 or SO5 certified by DOLE.
  • Pollution Control Officer certification.
  • Project management experience.
