Manager Accounting - P2P

Manages the tactical activities of the accounting team to ensure accuracy, efficient and compliance with all company and governmental requirements, laws and regulations.  Oversees general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements, such as Balance Sheets, Profit-and-Loss statements and capital expenditure schedules.  Manages the team to prepare record, analyze and report of accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.  Manages the team to review, analyze, plan and forecast expenses for one or more business units.  Manages the team to prepare statutory accounts and financial statements and reports.  Reviews various financial statements and reports, to identify discrepancies, research and provide explanations for variances. Statements may include but are not limited to Balance Sheet reconciliations, Profit and Loss fluctuation analysis, journal entries, wire transfers, and escrow accounts.  Develops and implements new or change existing processes and procedures to maximize efficiencies and eliminate redundancies.  Develops and sustains strong internal and external relationships.  Conducts departmental audits to ensure adherence to processes, procedures, and best practices.  Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to the accounting staff.  Provides oversight for the accounting and finance database systems.  Responsible for coordinating and managing accounting functions concerning the accuracy and maintenance of financial information.  Responsible for leading, coordinating and managing accounting functions concerning the accuracy and maintenance of financial information. Requires management, interpersonal skills, problem solving, and communication skills. Typically has exempt, individual contributors, and/or supervisory level roles as direct reports. May have some international responsibilities.
