The Role
Job Title: Mainframe Developer (COBOL)
Project: USS
Levels: Mid-level to Supervisory level
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2x a week onsite) in Uptown Tower 2, BGC, Taguig
Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)

- Shift B: 4 PM to 2 AM
- Shift C: 8 PM to 6 AM
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Mainframe Developers proficient in COBOL to join our team. The ideal candidates will be responsible for developing and maintaining mainframe applications, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide effective solutions.
- Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues, providing timely resolutions to meet customer needs and specifications.
Professional & Technical Skills
- Expert proficiency in COBOL programming language.
- Strong understanding of application support and maintenance.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL.
- Preferred skills: DB2, IMS, Focus.
- Strong educational background in computer science or a related field.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software applications.
