About the role


At Orica, we are transforming Global Learning, launching a refreshed learning model and reorganising our team to maximize value and impact across the business. We are seeking an experienced Learning Lead (Enterprise) to join our Global Learning team. In this critical role, you will consult with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, ensuring that learning solutions are strategically aligned with business goals while also addressing tactical development needs.


As a Learning Lead, you will act as a trusted advisor, offering the best recommendations to support the business’s learning and development needs. You will have the opportunity to work cross-culturally within a diverse, complex organisation, collaborating to create impactful, high-quality learning solutions.


What you will be doing


  • Build strong relationships and consult with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organisation, ensuring learning initiatives align with business priorities and learner needs.
  • Work both strategically to shape the learning direction and tactically to support development activities using various tools and technologies.
  • Become a trusted advisor by providing tailored recommendations that best suit business and learner needs.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure timely, effective delivery of learning solutions.
  • Operate effectively within a diverse, global environment, navigating cultural complexities to deliver learning solutions that resonate across regions.
  • Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide learning solutions that address capability requirements and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external providers to source, adapt, or create new learning solutions, ensuring they are aligned with organisational goals.


What you will bring


  • Over 7 years of experience in learning design and development, with a solid grasp of learning best practices, managing end-to-end solutions while adapting approaches to meet business goals and diverse learner needs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management at all levels of a global organisation and providing value-based learning recommendations.
  • A unique ability to move between high-level strategic planning with hands-on-tools learning solution development.
  • Experience working in complex, multicultural environments, and the ability to navigate regional differences to deliver effective learning programs globally.
  • A strong working knowledge of eLearning development tools, to step in and modify or develop learning content as needed, and to recommend the best approaches based on what is possible with the available technologies.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and an ability to think creatively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus, but not required.
