Lean Engineer

Responsible for analyzing moderately complex value streams to identify and recommend continuous improvement opportunities in the form of quality, safety, delivery, and cost.

About The Job

  • Analyzes moderately complex value stream mappings to develop continuous improvement recommendations. Analysis focuses on production/administration processes in the area of quality, safety, delivery, and cost. (60%)
  • Draws conclusions on potential improvement strategies for review with the lean team. Recommendations may be shared with the business. (25%)
  • Tracks project progress to ensure quality and adherence to project and company objectives. (10%)
  • Supports a lean specialty sub committee in area of focus. (5%)
  • Other duties as assigned.



About You

  • Education: Bachelor or university degree
  • Experience: Atleast 2 years of related work experience
  • Familiarity with lean practices (six sigma, kaizen)
  • Yellow belt certification preferred
  • Experience with global manufacturing companies preferred
  • Knowledge in MS Office
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • High attention to detail
