LABORATORY ANALYST

Role Overview

• Performs physio-chemical analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished goods & finished products as per documented analytical procedures
• Performs other laboratory-related activities needed to provide timely and reliable laboratory reports for the Quality Assurance of UNILAB products
• Conducts laboratory analysis, including test procedure documentation, technical document evaluation, and review of raw materials and finished goods specifications
• Conducts simple and semi-complex physico-chemical analysis of raw materials, packaging materials, semi-finished goods and/or finished products.
• Conducts laboratory investigation of out of specs (OOS) test results by following the OOS procedure and accomplishing the OOS check-list, with supervision.
• Reviews and updates raw material and finished products specifications based on compendial requirements.
• Aligns and documents test procedures.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, or Pharmacy
• Must be a licensed Chemist, Chemical Technologist, or Pharmacist
• Must have previous experience working in a quality control laboratory
• With strong working knowledge in laboratory instruments (e.g. HPLC, GC, UB-Vis, and AASm and other basic laboratory instruments) operation
• Knowledgeable in pharmaceutical and regulatory guidelines
• Excellent time management and critical thinking skills
• Must be a fast learner and resilient
• Must be results-oriented, organized, and systematic
